Alā yā Rasūla-llāh, Yā Awthaqa-l ʿUrā = wa Yā Muṣṭafā-l Akwān Yā Sayyida-l Warā

O messenger of Allah! O the reliable guide! O the sanctified of the creation! And O leaders of men!

Bi-sirrika Yā Sirra-l Ilāhi wa nūrahu = wa jāhika Yā Yāsīnu Amadu Muṣṭafā

We pray by your mystery O mystery and light of Allah! And by your magnificence, O Yasin Ahmad Mustafa.

Jazāka Ilāhu-l ʿarshi Yā khayra-l mursalin = waseelatahu-l ʿulyā wa-anta bihā awlā

May God of al'Arsh reward you O best of messengers! His channel is the most exalted one, while you worth it.

I supplicate to Allah, the Almighty by your magnificence, to dislodge my afflictions and grant my aspirations.

hudā wajadā amrān wa nahyān wa ramatan = wa ʿāfiyata-d dārayni-d dunyā maʿa-l ukhrā

I pray for guidance, benevolence, to imbibe by the dictates of Islam and to abstain from illicit acts, and live pleasantly in this life and in the hereafter.

wa-yaʿalū biya-t tawḥīdu wa-s sunnatu-llatī = ʿāfāhā irtifā‘u-l jahl fī-l jahr wa-n najwā

May Islam wax stronger through my effort and may I restore the Prophetic traditions in which the novice has neglected overtly and covertly.

zaʿīmun yaqūdu-n nāsa aj'halu ṭālibin = wa qad balagha-s saylu-z zubā ʿammati-l balwā

The most dull student is guiding men (to the right path) indeed, the flood has exceedingly high tide while affliction has prevailed.

yaqīnan bi-anna-l muṣṭafā qāla ṣādiqān = li-yudriku ʿĪsā khayra abin ʿalā-l muthlā

It is certain that what al-Mustafa said was nothing but truth. However, prophet 'Isa would later emerge to emulate the teachings of the best companions.

matā jāʾa dīnu-l aqqi abaa dāmian = fa-ʿāda gharīban wa-huwa fī al-ʿudwwati-l quswā

Religion of the Truth (Islam) emerged to obliterate falsehood and it’s still yet considered as strange when it has reached its apex.

May the Great Lord elevate our religion and may He scratch out our love for worldly material gains.

alātun wa-taslīmun ʿalayhi arā bihā = sarīʿan bi-jāhi-l muṣṭafā-s sanada-l aqwā

May blessing and peace of Allah be upon him. May I seek refuge with strongest shelter by the munificence of al-Mustafa.

Who will help me extend my greetings to Naqa, O what emaciate the body! O what make the tears to flow!

ḍāmintu lahu sarda-l madāʾiḥi rājiyān = qabūla thānāʾī wa-z ziyādata wa-l usnā

I guarantee composition of my eulogy for him with the hope that my praises and good deeds shall be accepted.

qalamī wa-anqāsī wa-tursī wa-laqlaqī = tainnu li-amdāḥī anīnī ilā al-liqā

My pen, respiration, paper and tongue are yearning for my eulogy while my longing is to have contact with him.

salāmun ʿalā al-Hādī bi-badʾin wa makhtamin = salāmun ʿalā al-Mukhtāri qidmān wa-lā sharwā

Peace be upon the Guide, at the beginning and the end = Peace be upon the Chosen One, forever and ever.

tayammama qalbī nawa Amada ʿinān = wa jismī maʿa-l ajṣām ashdid bimā alqā

My heart yearns towards Ahmad and my body along with other bodies were prepared to meet him.

thānāʾī ʿalayhi qūtu qalbī fa-innanī = ayātī ʿalā-t tah’yāmi wa-sh shawq wa-dh dhakrā

My praises upon him are the victuals of my heart. Verily, my life is full of love, longing and commemoration.

khālīlun siwā man abbānī li-widādihi = jafānī jihārān fa-sh shaqiyyu ilā-l ashqā

A friend who hates me is a miserable save (a friend) who loves me because of my love for him.

Dhakartu-l ladhī min dhikrihi wa widādihi = afā liya waqtī wa-l madīnah wa-l baṭ’ḥā

I commemorate the person that in his commemoration and in his love, my period, town and village are delighted.

alāmun widādun ghayru ubbi Muammadin = ʿalayhi alātun ākhira-d dahri lan tumḥā

It is an unjust love, to love someone beside Muhammad. May unflinching blessing be upon him.

gharāmun ilā ghayri-l amīn sifāhatun = ʿalayhi alātun kulla waqtin bihā nayā

Eulogy towards something else beside al-Amin is considered as craziness. May blessing of Allah be upon him and may we live in delight by the effect of that blessing.

shifāʾī alātī maʿa salāmī kilāhumā = ʿalayhi wa aṣ’ḥābin humu-d dawlatu-l kubrā

My healness is the blessing and peace I seek (for him), may that blessing and peace be upon him and his companions, the great leaders.
