[Manāsik ahli al-widād fī mad’ḥ khayr a-l ‘ibād (Right of the Lovers on Eulogizing Best of the Servants) Harf al-Alif al-Maqsūra, Verses 544-571], pgs. 405 to 409.

‎ألا أيها الممدوح يا أفضل الورى

‎و يا أيها المحمود ذا الحمد و اللوى

Alā ayyuhā-l mamdūḥu, Yā afḍala-l warā ** wa yā ayyuhā-l maḥmūdu, dhā-l ḥamdi wa-l liwā

544. O the praised! O the most favoured creation! O the praise worthy! And (you) uphold the banner of praise.

‎بسرك بالذات العلية بـــــاسمها

‎وبالرسل و البيت الحــرام و بالقرى

Bi-sirrika bi-dh-dhāti-l ‘uliyyati bi’smihā ** wa bi-r-rusli wa-l bayti-l ḥarāmi wa bi-l qurā

545. I pray by (the magnificence) of your mystery, Almighty God, His Essence, Apostles, Sacred House and it’s metropolis.

‎جميعا و بالذكر الحكيم و أهله

‎و الأسماء و الأفلاك و النجم و الثرى

Jamī’ān wa bi-dh-dhikri l-ḥakīmi wa ahlihi ** wa-l asmā’i wa-l aflāki wa-n najmi wa-th-tharā

546. I pray by the Glorious Qur’an and its reciters, I pray also by the names (of Allah), Orbits, Stars and Sands.

‎دعوت لـــنفسي ثم أمــــي و والدي

‎و صحبي و أحبابي و أهلي و من قَرا

Da’autu li-nafsī thumma ummī wa-wālidī ** wa saḥbī wa aḥbābī wa ahlī wa man qarā

547. I pray for myself, my mother, my father, my disciples, my fans, my household and our host.

‎هدىً و جدىً علما و رزقا و رفعة

‎و أمنا و إيمانا يزيد إلى الأخرى

Hudān wa jadān ‘ilmān wa rizqān wa rif’atan ** wa amnān wa īmānān yazīdu ilā-l ukhrā

548. I pray for guidance, munificence, knowledge, wealth, prosperity, harmony and may our faith increase till the day of resurrection.

‎و تقوىً و زهداً و اعتـــــلاء و حكمة

‎و عافية بعد الإنـــــــابة للمولى

Wa taqwān wa zuhdān wa’atilā’an wa ḥikmatan ** wa ‘āfiyatan ba’ada-l inābati lil-mawlā

549. I pray for piety, ascetic life, progress, wisdom and good health after total devotion to Allah.

‎زِد العلم فينا و اكفنا الشر جملة

‎و صُنا جميعا عن غرور و عن أهوى

Zidi-l ‘ilma fīnā wa’kfinā sh-sharra jumlatan ** wa sunān jamī’ān ‘an ghurūrin wa ‘an ahwā

550. Increase our knowledge, protect us against all evils and protect us against deceit and self-whims.

‎حبوتَ لنا الإيمان زده و أبقـــــــه

‎لدى الموت حقا ثم زده لدى اللقيا

Ḥabauta lanā-l īmāna zid’hu wa abqihi ** ladā-l mauti ḥaqqān thumma zid’hu ladā-l luqyā

551. Bless us with indefatigable faith, let us remain faithful to the point of (our) death and increase our faith in the day of resurrection.

‎طويت لمن أحببته السبل فاطوِين

‎لنا كل بُعْدٍ في الممات و في المحيا

Ṭawayta liman aḥbabtahu-s sublu fa’ṭwiyan ** lanā kulla bu’udin fī-l mamāti wa fī-l maḥyā

552. You fold up all difficulties for whoever you love. Then, fold up all difficulties for us at a point of death and in our life time.

‎يقينا تقينا كل سوء فلا نـــــرى

‎سوى فضل مولًى لا نريد جزا الحسنى

Yaqīnān taqīnā kulla sū’in falā narā ** siwā faḍli mawlān la turīdu jazā-l ḥusnā

553. We believe that you will protect us from all evils. May we never encounter (evil) except Allah’s favour and his reward.

‎كتمت قبيحا ثم أظهرت سيدي

‎جميلا أدمْ هذا و أتحف لنا البغياَ

Katamta qabīḥān thumma aẓ’harta sayyidī ** jamīlān adim hādhā wa at’ḥif lanā-l bughyā

554. You concealed evil and you manifested your good will (O) my Lord persist on (Your good will) and grant our aspirations.

‎لك الحمد لو عاقبت كل عقوبة

‎نكون لذا أهلا فأعمالنا أسوا

Laka-l ḥamdu lau ‘āqabta kulla ‘uqūbatin ** nakūnu lidhā ahlān fa-a’amālunā aswā

555. Praise be to you, had it been you wanted to punish us, we are entitled to punishment because our deeds are bad.

‎متين و لو أحسنت بالعفو و العطا

‎فأنت له أهل فالإحسان ما تهوى

Matīnun wa lau aḥ‘santa bil afwi wal ‘aṭā ** fa-anta lahu ahlun fa-a’amālunā aswā

556. O All-Powerful! Kindly do good will to us by forgiving our sins and grant our aspirations? You are in best position to do that, because you enjoined us to demonstrate good deeds.

‎نعم قد أمرت العبد يحسن نحو من

‎أساء عليه فالكريم بذا أولى

Na’am qad amar’ta-l ‘abda yuḥsinu naḥwa man ** asā’a ‘alayhi fal karīmu bi-dhā aulā

557. O yes! Indeed, you enjoined (Your) servants to reciprocate with good deeds to whoever wronged them, al-Kareem deserved that.

‎صبور أيا ستار قادر هب لنا

‎صـلاحا و رشدا و القبول لما نسعى

Ṣabūru ayā Sattāru qādiru hab-lanā ** ṣalāḥān wa rushdān wal qubūla limā nas’ā

558. O the Endurance! O the Shelter! And all powerful bestow us with prosperity, guidance and acknowledge all our efforts.

‎على أحمد في كل بدء و مختمٍ

‎صلاة و تسليم مدى الدهر و الدنيا

‘Alā Ahmadin fī kullli bad’in wa makhtamin ** ṣalātun wa taslīmun madā-d dahri wa-d dunyā

559. May an immortal blessing and peace of Allah in every starting point and climax be upon Ahmad.

‎فلي فيه حب و الرجاء يزيده

‎عليه صلاة ما أمات و ما أحيا

Falī fīhi ḥubbun wa-r rajā’u yazīduhu ** ‘alayhi ṣalātun mā amāta wa mā aḥyā

560. I have passion and hope in him, and may blessing (of Allah) after my death and in my life time be upon him.

‎ضمنت له و الله أنفك ذاكرا

‎محاسنه رغم البغاة ذوى الأهوا

Ḍamintu lahu wa-llahi anfakku dhākirān ** maḥāsinahu raghma-l bughāti dhawī-l ahwā

561. I assured him and I swear by Allah that I will never cease in commemorating his goodwill before the boorish who went astray.

‎قد اسلمته نفسي و عقلي و كلكلي

‎و روحي و سري في حياتي و الأخرى

Qad asmlamtuhu nafsī wa ‘aqlī wa kalkalī ** wa rūḥī wa sirrī fī ḥayātī wa-l ukhrā

562. I surrendered my soul, brain, heart, spirit, and my mystery to him whenever I am alive and in the hereafter.

‎رجعت به لله جــــل جـــــــــلاله

‎عليه صلاة لا تعد و لا تحصى

Raja’atu bihi lillahi jalla-jalāluhu ** ‘alayhi ṣalātun lā tu’addu walā tuḥṣā

563. I returned back (from spiritual ecstasy) through him and to Allah, the Almighty. May uncountable blessing (of Allah) be upon him.

‎سليما من الإشراك و الشك عارفا

‎و حرا فلا سعدى أروم و لا ريّا

Salīmān mina-l ishrāki wa-sh shakki ‘ārifān ** wa ḥurrān falā su’udā arūmu walā rayyā

564. I am freed from polytheist and doubt. (I became a) renown independent Gnostic. I am not (in love with) Su’uda or Rayya.

‎ ترانى مرادا لا مريدا و إننى

‎ليَ الملك و التصريف بالمصطفى المأوى

Tarānī murādān lā murīdān wa innanī ** lī-l mulku wa-t tasrīfu bi-l muṣṭafā-l ma’awā

565. I am an object of desire not a protégé. Verily, I am entrusted to change life vicissitudes by the magnificence of al-Mustafa, my shelter.

‎ثقيل به ميزاني الخف فائزا

‎بطه و يعليني إلى الرتبة القصوى

Thaqīlun bihi mīzāniya-l khidfu fā’izān ** bi-Tāha wa yu’ulīnī ilā-r rutbati-l quswā

566. My scale (of good) will be heavy by (my love for) him and I will prosper by the magnificence of Taha and he will elevate me to the highest position.

‎خلصت و خلَّصت المحبين جملة

‎بحب حبيب الله من يركب القصوا

Khalaṣtu wa khallaṣtu-l muḥibbīna jumlatan ** bi-ḥubbi ḥabībi-llahi man yarkabu-l qaṣwā

567. I am sincere and I sanctified all my fans with the love of Allah’s beloved who ride on Qaswah.

‎ذكرت صحابي ثم قومي و معشري

‎فنالوا جميعا فوق ما كان من بغيا

Dhakartu ṣiḥābī thumma qaumī wa ma’asharī ** fa-nālū jamī’ān fauqa mā kāna min bughyā

568. I pray for my disciples, my family and my group. Then, they all obtained their aspirations above their expectations.

‎ظفرنا بإكسير السعادة أحمد

‎عليه صلاة منه صرنا إلى الحسنى

Ẓafir’nā bi-iksīri s-sa’ādati Ahmadin ** ‘alayhi ṣalātun min’hu ṣir’nā ilā-l ḥusnā

569. We prosper by the elixir of the success of Ahmad. May blessing (of Allah) be upon him and may we become righteous by the effect of that blessing.

‎غنينا به عن غيره و كفى به

‎زعيما جليلا لن يضن و لن يعيى

Ghanīnā bihi ‘an ghayrihi wa kafā bihi ** za’īmān jalīlān lan yakilla wa lan ya’ayā

570. He is sufficient for me than any other creations. I am pleased with his leadership, he is great and he has never been a miser.

‎شفائي و أعيادي صلاتــــي مسلما

‎على سيد الأرسال بل سيد الورى

Shifā’ī wa a’ayādī ṣalātī musallimān ** ‘alā sayyidi-l ar’sāli bal sayyidi-l warā

571. My haleness and happiness is to seek blessing upon leader of the Apostles. Nevertheless, leader of the creation.
